I have been a member of the David E. Owens Child Study Team since September 2009.  My primary role as a case manager is to ensure that the children on my caseload receive the adequate services and support required to assist them in meeting educational success.  Whether it be through collaboration with students, parents, teachers or related service providers, the end goal is meeting the students’ needs academically, socially, emotionally, and mentally.  As a social worker in the building, when needed, students are provided with the skills and tools on how to cope with personal and psychological issues that sometimes affect their school performance, behavior, and socialization.  It is important for students to know that there is always someone to turn to and talk to no matter how small or big their challenge may be, and my door is always open!
