For the past four to five years, New Milford has set the bar in the county when it comes to collecting stuffed bears for the holidays. This program which is sponsored by the Bergen Record, took off 3 years ago in honor of past teacher Mike Pevny. Once again, New Milford collected more than 1,000 bears.

| Flood Relief Update As of October 2007, we have raised over $18,000. Building supply gift cards were distributed this past summer. Rescue suits, life jackets and gear are on order for our fire department and rescue units. |
