About Us

Welcome to our NMHS Library Website.  You will find many resources and websites of interest, when you click on the links on the left and below.

**NEW!** Senior Amanda Pennino suggested recently to me the idea of having a book sale fundraiser, and I love her idea! With Amanda's leadership and BookChat!'s participation, we will sponsor a book sale fundraiser to be held December 3-5, 2008.  Not only will proceeds from the sale benefit each of NMHS's classes, but also the event will encourage reading!  If you have books that you no longer want that are in GOOD condition, students may bring them to the school library starting immediately. The deadline for accepting books is December 1st. We will accept hardcover books and paperbacks -- no textbooks or encyclopedias please.  We will accept books for children, teens, and adults. Current high school students and staff only will be able to shop at this year's book sale. Thanks in advance for sending  in your worthy donations!!

BOOKCHAT! - Join the book discussion group at NMHS! We will hold our next meeting on Tuesday, December 9th to talk about the mystery book, Bone Hunter, by Sarah Andrews.  We will select the book for our January meeting too. If you like to talk about what you read - without homework, tests, or pressure - we'd love to see YOU at BookChat!

IMPORTANT!! Did you know that you can renew materials online that you have checked out from the public library system? All you need is a PIN number for your public library card. Simply go to the New Milford Public Library and ask for one.

Click here to access our collection of reference e-books.  In the blue box, click on "all e-books". Then type the password (knights) into the window. Click underneath the yellow box on "show all" to see all of the e-book titles.

The NMHS Library Media Center seeks to provide students, teachers, and staff with the skills and tools needed to locate, read, evaluate, and synthesize print and electronic resources.  Our goal is to help you become independent, lifelong learners and readers.
